1. The history of TPD
In 2012, when high street banks and building societies started to shift their focus away from pensions and investments, our directors became concerned about the growing divide between Society’s needs and the accessibility of reliable and comprehensive financial advice. TPD Wealth Management was established in 2013 with a clear vision and a defined mission.

2. Our exciting move to a Stockport landmark
In September 2020, we made a bold move. We traded in our old office for a place steeped in Stockport’s rich history: The Three Shires, one of Stockport’s oldest buildings, built c.1580. Our team gets to work in a building that’s witnessed centuries of change!
We were excited to become part of the fabric of Stockport’s story, while writing our own chapter within these historic walls. The move to The Three Shires symbolized our commitment to the community and our belief that a strong foundation (both literally and figuratively) is key to building a bright future. 3. Ownership
The ownership of TPD Wealth Management Ltd is split between:
- Jon Turner, Mortgage Adviser and Director
- Rob Angel, Chartered Financial Planner and Director
- Tim Widdowson, Financial Planner and Director
This unique structure allows us to prioritise what truly matters – your financial well-being and the success of our team. We answer directly to you, our clients, ensuring our decisions are made with your best interests at heart, not the pressure of external shareholders.
4. You are dealing with a Chartered firm.
In 2022, TPD Wealth Management were proud to have been awarded the prestigious title: Chartered Financial Planner.
Our Chartered title is a public declaration of our commitment to professional standards. It was granted by the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII), the professional body for personal finance, dedicated to building trust in the financial planning profession.
